Global Diagnostics is an Irish owned international award winning radiology services provider employing over 100 staff members in Ireland alone. We deliver managed service solutions to public and private hospitals, and have direct to patient services in 3T MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray.

We are a clinically led, patient focused organisation. We are industry experts, radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and ICT professionals. Our proven track record shows improvement in access for patients through the resolution of traditional radiology bottle necks and workflow inefficiencies, while simultaneously reducing costs for the hospital.

Our clients range from large tertiary hospitals to small standalone medical facilities.

Caroline Byrne
Managing Director

Caroline joined the Global Diagnostics Irish team in October 2013. She is an experienced healthcare manager with 12 years of diverse practical experiences gained in clinical business management and project management roles. Caroline previously worked as project manager for our Primary Care division in Centric Health, managing primary care development builds both in green field sites and upgrade building works on existing primary care facilities in Centric Health.

She has extensive experience in medical facility design and layout, workflow, process mapping and change management, regulatory compliance, accreditation, patient safety and risk management and has an MSc in Quality & Safety in Healthcare Management from the RCSI.

Caroline was appointed managing director of Global Diagnostics Ireland and Global Vision in April 2018

Dr Marie-Louise Butler
Clinical Quality Advisor

Marie-Louise is a radiography graduate of University College Dublin. Marie-Louise joined Global Diagnostics as Clinical Coordinator in 2009 after working in SwiftCare clinics for the previous 3 years.

Her primary role is to mentor and develop staff skills and education and deals primarily with clinical issues.

She combines her work with Global Diagnostics with working as a lecturer and researcher in University College Dublin.

Catriona Fay
Radiology Services Manager

Catriona has been working as a Radiology Services Manager with Global Diagnostics since 2013.

She qualified with a BSc (Hons) Radiography Degree and went on to complete a post-graduate Diploma in MRI. Since qualifying, she has gained significant clinical experience in several Irish and Australian hospitals and has trained in a variety of specialties including MRI, CT, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Imaging and Mammography. Catriona has also graduated with an MBA in Healthcare Management and a Professional Diploma in Strategy, Innovation and Change from Smurfit Business School, UCD. Across all strands of her career, Catriona’s primary focus remains on clinical and operational excellence within healthcare.

Nicola Jensen Radiology Services Manager

Nicola Jensen
Radiology Services Manager

Nicola trained as a Radiographer at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia and went on to work in rural communities throughout South Australia.

She worked closely with the Royal Flying Doctors and other major trauma hospitals using TeleRadiology to provide clinical care to those in remote areas. After completing her Post Dip Cert in Computed Tomography she moved to the green isle and undertook MRI training programme and Leadership studies.

The newest addition to the Global Diagnostics Management Team, Nicola brings an expanse of clinical knowledge and operational prowess to hospital contracts and patient services.

Sarah Johnson
Ultrasound Services Manager

Sarah joined the Global team in March 2017 as Ultrasound Services Manager to lead the various and increasing ultrasound clinics, sonographer services and DDH (developmental dysplasia of the hips) clinics that Global Diagnostics provide privately and publically nationwide.

Sarah has extensive experience in DDH clinics having helped establish one of the first centres in Ireland for implementing early diagnosis and management of hip dysplasia in infants.

Lynsey Jones
Finance Manager

Lynsey joined Global Diagnostics in February 2014. New to the healthcare industry, Lynsey is involved in both the Irish and UK businesses as well as Global’s digital retinopathy screening business, Global Vision.

Lynsey hailed from the aircraft leasing industry, having qualified as an ACCA Accountant post BBS in 2004.

Tom Neville
RIS/PACS Application Specialist

Tom joined the Global Diagnostics team as a locum radiographer in 2016, before progressing to the role as the RIS/PACS Applications Specialist in 2018.

Tom holds a BSc Radiography from University College Dublin and began his radiography career in a large teaching hospital in Dublin. From here, he took an interest in radiology IT and worked extensively on the HSE National Integrated Medical Imaging System (NIMIS) in a teaching hospital. This involvement in NIMIS inspired Tom to pursue a MSc Computer Science from University College Dublin.

Tom combines his clinical knowledge from radiography with his IT knowledge to manage the IT systems and is responsible for rolling out innovative projects on the IT systems.

Adrian Roche
Finance Manager

Adrian joined Global Diagnostics in November 2017. New to the healthcare industry, Adrian is involved in both the Irish and UK businesses as well as Global Diagnostics Ireland’s digital retinopathy screening business, Global Vision.

Adrian is a CIMA qualified accountant with over 12 years’ experience in finance leadership roles. Prior to joining Global Diagnostic’s Adrian was FP&A manager for Chubb Ireland Ltd for 10 years. He also holds a diploma in information systems for managers and an advanced diploma in project management.
